What is Fresh Press?

Fresh Press is just as it sounds. This product is freshly pressed hash that forms into a generally translucent "oil" that can be vaporized.

This comes from the process of solventless ice water extraction. In this process the frozen cannabis plant is lightly agitated using ice water to knock off the trichome heads into assorted micron bubble bags.

In modern day time you often see the next step Fresh Press evolves into which is Cold Cure Rosin. Sometimes written as Cold Cure Budder or Badder on dispensary menus. Cold Curing includes taking the fresh press rosin, placing it into a larger jar or container, slightly stirring or "whipping" it up over time to slightly oxidize it. This helps make it easier to package and scoop out a dab of.

Make sure to check when budder, badder, or batter is written that is it not mixed with resin or distillate products. There are a few brands that make mixes like this. While not horrible or bad this may not be the product you were intending to look for. Research in your products is truly key as you begin to go down the path of dabs.
