What is Full Melt?

In our last article "What is Hash Rosin?" we covered the process and differences between flower rosin vs hash rosin and referenced a little bit on Full Melt Hash. Now we are going to cover in depth Full Melt and the stars you often see come along with it that helped created the foundation of the Dabs Only grade 6 Star grade scale.

For those new to the process of Dabs, Hash and all things terps make sure to checkout our free informational page titled the TERPBLOG for weekly updates, information and history on all things related to dabs.

First let's talk about some of the foundational leaders in hashmaking. We wouldn't be where we are today without the pioneers who thought of transitioning the old school flower hash processes into hash rosin. In the 1990's we pay tribute to Matt Rize who is known for his Ice Wax Extraction microplane method that helped form the process of modern day hash across the world. We also have Mila Jensen often referred to as the Queen of Hash for developing the filtration system for ice water extraction known as "bubble bags" in the late 1990's. Bubble Bags was officially refined by Marcus "Bubbleman" Richardson who collaborated with a former work colleague of Mila's.

With the history lesson out of the way, we can now answer the question of "What is Full Melt?". Full Melt Hash or 6 Star Full Melt/Hash is the purest, highest tier of solventless cannabis concentrates consisting almost purely of trichome heads seperated only from ice and water with light agitation. Think of this as the best possible representation of the plant we can possible create with our human hands and modern day technology. Unlike traditional hash, full melt hash will melt into a clear oil with virtually zero residue left behind when vaporized.

Generally this level of quality in hash is made from long term small batch hash. This is a case of great things come in small packages.
