What does "live" mean in live rosin?
Nothing. Live is a word that helps differentiate itself on the shelf. It's a marketing term you see in the cannabis industry across different product categories. When the cannabis plant is cut it is dead. The plant will no longer continue to grow or take in nutrients like it happily did when it was planted. When it's time to harvest the stalks are cut down, nugs are trimmed off and sent over to final processing. Unless a dispensary is providing you with an actual clone or in the process of growing cannabis plant it's not live or alive.
Think of when you see Fresh Frozen in the vegetable or meat isle of your grocery store. It was harvested and then frozen. But what you are eating is not fresh from the processing plant. It's frozen and waiting for you to prepare it.
Next time you look at a product take a look at the genetics, packaging date, brand and product quality. Doing a little research on your terps will help you increase your terp knowledge so you're not buying into marketing terms.
Yours Truly,
